5 Second Songs by Huw Joseph

In the month lead up to his Melbourne Comedy Festival 2014 shows Huw recorded and posted a new 5 Second Song for his social media fans. Here is a compilation of quite possibly the worlds shortest songs haha!!

Review by the Herald Sun!

The coveted Herald Sun review of ‘Somebody Call A Wambulance’ by Huw Joseph and the Immoral Support band came through and it was good!

The Toff in Town, until April 12 2014.
Herald Sun review of Huw Joseph’s debut Melb Comedy Fest show.

“The show comes across more like a small, intimate music concert rather than comedy show — but it’s a good thing. And aside from the brief “intermissions” in which the team quickly rearrange the stage, it flows quite well.
While the show includes several stand-up skits that merit a laugh, it is the songs that are the highlight. Smart Marriage has the couples in the room making goo-goo eyes at one another until the subject of affection becomes clear, and the final song Wambulance is about a “upper-class white girl” also has a deeper, hidden meaning.
The band is extremely tight and you can tell they have a lot of musical experience. keep an eye on these guys!” HJ MCF 2014 JPEG

Huw Joseph and the Immoral Support band are inviting you into a world where comedy and melodic pop rock meet for the debut Melbourne International Comedy Festival show “Somebody call a Wambulance!” at the majestic Toff in Town.
Accomplished musicians that have set out to challenge what seeing live music can mean incorporating sketches and trickery into the comedic songs whilst you are fundamentally seeing a live band! For starters what could be more rock than a weekend afternoon show?? Absolutely nothing.
Huw Joseph is a Melbourne based comedic singer songwriter that has built a strong underground following after performing over 300 shows in his 5year career around Australia and the UK including Edinburgh Fringe 2011. Together with his Immoral Support band consisting of some of Melbourne’s finest musicians including Nick Delaney on bass (Twelve Tone Diamonds), James Bowers on keys (True Live) and Arron Light on drums (Ainslie Wills) musicality in the show will be exceptional.
Huw blasted his way into commercial radio breakfast host roles for Southern Cross Austereo earning a nomination for ‘Best Newcomer On-Air’ at the 2013 ACRA’s. His celebrity singing intros, song of the week and radio sketches have earned him national exposure.

“Huw Joseph is an adept interpreter of the human condition, and has a way of translating it into song that will touch, tickle, and sometimes give you a cheeky slap in all the right places.” The Age

“Huw Joseph is a name that is becoming increasingly eminent and synonymous with eclectic comedy music on the local and international arts scene”. Beat Magazine.

“Huw mixes original, sharp funny music with great melodies and feeling. Totally rad rocking s**t from one hilariously cool guy.” Jesse and Ella Hooper (ex Killing Heidi)

POZIBLE campaign for Melbourne Comedy Festival shows + tix as reward!

Massive shout out to everyone who supported our Pozible campaign for our debut show at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival ‘Somebody Call A Wambulance!’. We hit our target because of your support and generosity and nearly 200 tix were snapped up to the shows as reward for pledging. Thank you so much and I can’t to see you at the Toff in Town for the Com Fest woohoo!! You are all awesome and very attractive:) Huw.

BAHA’s in Rye HERE WE COME!! Fri 21st Feb.

The next stop on our tour is one of my favourite small band venues in Victoria, BAHA. Not only are they the main live music venue for the Mornington Peninsula they are also home to the best Mexican food too! If you get in early for dinner they knock a bit of the door price to see bands which is cool. We’re teaming up with our mates local legendary funk band Tub ‘O’ Vas for the show and whenever we play together at BAHA it always turns into a big party. We’re hanging out for this one!

Book your tix through the venue or get them at the door. I highly recommend trying the fish taco’s too, I’m hooked on them like a crack fiend lol.

Back in 2014! New show, new band line up & new dates coming soon.

Hey it has been a little while and what have I been doing? Well I’ve spent the last 12 months or so looking for my glasses and only just found them today so here I am! Actually I was employed by Southern Cross Austereo in Sept 2012 as a breakfast host and spent 6 months in Adelaide working at SAFM and the rest has been back in Vic working for Star FM which covers Melbs Sth East and Gippsland. Breaky radio is a crazy beast and I decided to throw myself into it completely to focus on learning the craft and it has been a BIG learning curve. It truly is exceptional to find a medium that I’m so passionate about were I can incorporate comedy, music and sketch writing into my day job it’s crazy and I love it. But finally the time has come when my music can come back into play I’m EXTREMELY excited about it!
I have a new band line up consisting of some of Melb’s most shit hot players and we’ll be hitting the road for shows starting Feb for my beloved St Kilda Fest and I’ve also confirmed a run for the upcoming Melbourne International Comedy Festival. All dates and shows announced very soon! You can expect to hear a lot more from now on here and I’ll keep all the details updated regularly. Sorry it’s been so long and if you get a chance tune into the radio show I host every weekday morning 6-9am with my amazing friend Stacey Wren (Big Brother 2012) on 94.3FM in Melb/Gippsland or download the free app from

It’s good to be back baby baaaaaby!!
